Release notes for Pubcookie 3.3.5:

Subject: Pubcookie 3.3.5 Released

Version 3.3.5 of the Pubcookie ISAPI filter is now available from 
pubcookie.org. Specific changes in this Windows-only release include:

   * Upgraded supporting OpenSSL libraries to version 0.9.8o.

   * Added callbacks for OpenSSL to do locking for thread sensitive 
     operations in the ISAPI filter.

This release addresses reported problems with the Pubcookie filter's 
ability to "unbundle" session cookies. The source of the problem was 
traced back to multi-threading support on multi-processor systems, which 
in some cases required resetting IIS in order to fix. New callbacks in 
the ISAPI filter help ensure that OpenSSL can verify the signatures on 
session cookies, reducing the number of related "Can't unbundle Session 
cookie" errors in the Event log.

This release of the ISAPI filter has been thoroughly reviewed and tested 
at the UW, and is already running on some of our production systems where 
the session cookie problems were observed.
